Philips 21:9 LCD 56 inch TV now $5995

There can be only one ...

We now have this unique cinemascope 2560 x 1080 television on display. It has finally shunted over our hard working Fujitsu 50" Plasma as the main Television in the primary surround sound dem room in 164 Lygon. As you may be aware Philips excellent LCD TV sets were ignominiously withdrawn after barely weeks of distribution as part of the general retractiion of TV brands and models bought about by the GFC last year.

This particular device is just bloody striking when you first see it. Amidst a planet full of 16:9 televisions this one just leaps out at you with its mutant appearance. Like a Mekon on the beach amidst humans it is so clearly different that one's eye is drawn to it by it's irresistable alienness.

Watching it with a Blu Ray it appears fantastic ...If you are in the market for the very best in theatre direct view displays come and compare this to a Loewe 52 inch Compose. The widescreen effect on a movie is absolutely fantastic. The way it fills your field of view makes a good movie completely engaging.
