Actually this PMA510 Denon is the closest there is to a classic and smooth full featured absolutely practical first timer amplifier with a phono stage and AB loudspeaker switching ...

This is a sweet little japanese girl with a good grip of an amp that is close to classique retro but an intrinsically solid buy. An updated version of the PMA 500 with a more deliberate dose of Jap stereo cred.

If you buy one of these amplifiers at 20 years old you are still likely to have it when you are 40.
