It is worth noting that if musicality is your main emphasis then the Marantz SR5014 should be auditioned. Although a sister product these days the Marantz has amplification stages modified for optimal musical playback within the constraints of a multi channel theatre receiver. The Denon though is excellent in its ability to reproduce an immersive and engaging Cinema soundtrack and is probably always the most up to date and fully featured when it comes to the niceties of HDMI, HCAP, and multi zone and streaming protocols.
