The Sort Füt is a mechanically tuned resonance control device. It is purpose-built to enhance the performance of your hi-fi system and improve upon the standard spikes and stabilizers that are provided with loudspeakers and racks.

A magnetically levitating isolation board perfect for keeping your turntable on and away from any sort of environmental vibrations. But it can also be used for other HiFi equipment. CD players, ampflifiers and other electronics will also greatly benefit from a unit like this.

4 x 50mm titanium spike mounts for lightweight racks and components. Hand crafted in Japan

These are the same size as the standard steel SM5 isolation devices but they are built from titanium.  Can the change of materials make a difference?  Absolutely: the titanium Silent Mount SM5s are identical in size to the stainless steel SM5s but are considerable lighter. The reduced weight improves energy transfer and this is why the titanium version produces a better performance.  Timing, dynamics and coherence are all improved and the image is more solid with instruments and voices well defined and accurately placed within the soundstage.

The titanium SM5s are designed to be used with any high performance rack or table.

We use them underneath an Audiophile Star Base rack in our demonstration room and we have also used them with turntable supports, where the improvements to sound quality are particularly striking. Like many upgrades it very easy to quickly get used to the big improvements that the titanium SM5s make.  Taking them out of the system is genuinely surprising and leaves you in no doubt as to how much of a contribution they are making.

All Silent Mounts are supplied with a set of self adhesive thin felt pads. If the rack is sited on anything other than a carpeted floor, the felt pads should be fitted to the base of each Silent Mount. The felt pad has been specifically chosen to minimise any vibration between the Silent Mount and the floor and will ensure that you get the best performance. If the silent Mount is being used on a carpeted floor the Felt pads should not be fitted.

Each Silent Mount SMF5 titanium isolation mount will support up to 50 Kilos in weight.

4 x 70mm stainless steel spike mounts for speakers and racks. Hand crafted in Japan. The stainless steel SM7 Silent Mounts are designed to be used with both floor standing and stand mount loudspeakers. Slightly larger than the SM5s (70mm diameter) and heavier, the silent mount will deal with the considerable energy that loud speakers are capable of generating. We use the SM7s with all the speakers in our dem room – and in every case the Silent Mount SM7s improve definition and sound staging, bass instruments in particular gain a greater sense of pitch and timbre, but in truth these improvements are very noticeable throughout the frequency range of the speaker. Music sounds more coherent and there’s a greater sense of performance and involvement. Like the SM5s the SM7s are supplied with a set of felt pads, in this case though they should only be used if the floor surface is highly polished. The Q4 Wall Bracket, made in Bamboo and provide a rigid support for your main source component. 

The Quadraspire HiFi wall brackets consist of a back plate with 2 arms that have holes for locating the adjustable spikes of the Q4 or SVT shelf and allows for precision levelling of the shelf. The Bamboo wall support, which is available in black or silver, can hold a component up to 40 kilos.

There are some optional upgrades with these shelves for increased isolation. Including the Q4 Bronze upgrade for an extra $300 and the super plush SVT Bronze upgrade for an an $650.

We have been very impressed by these stands. To get the most out of your bookshelf speakers it is important to get the stands right. So much thought and effort goes into making the speaker box itself rigid, acoustically dampening and lowering acoustic resonances. All of this can be lost when you simply put your speakers on some wobbly ikea furniture.

These stands have decoupled top plates, are made out of high density vibration absorbing steel and the spikes work to not only stop any errant vibrations from the speaker going into the floor, they stop vibrations from the floor causing audio havoc with your speakers.

All of this minutely controls the resonances and vibrations of the speakers meaning a better HiFi sound for your ears!

Plus we love that raw metal finish. Unapologetically real and brutalist...but if you're not into that you can go for the white or black finish too.

There are lots of reasons for using Silent Mount isolation devices.  First of all there is the undeniable and obvious improvement in sound quality.  We’ve used these beneath floor standing speakers, beneath speaker stands and beneath racks as well.  In every case, the audible improvements are obvious and consistent.  Better definition, better detail and a greater sense of drive and rhythm.  We also think that image and depth improve as well.

SM5 stainless steel Silent Mounts have been designed to improve the contact between the spikes fitted to equipment and your floor. No matter how hard you think your floor is the pressure that the tip of each spike places on it is extremely high. The SM5 silent mount will make it far easier to stabilise your equipment/rack and will improve the high speed energy transfer.
