So this is Christmas

I remain bemused by the beauty and fear of the Australian Christmas still after forty years in this great continent. The beauty is the joy of a summer Christmas amidst the scents of flowering eucalypts below an enormous sky, so very different from the grey closed in skies of the Northern English town. Then there is the fear of fire, what sort of a hellish landscape is it that can burst into flames so cruelly and randomly.
Australian retailing of High Fidelity and Audio Visual has been my home since I arrived, and it has been a wonderful place to live. There is that raw element of the type of customer who seeks music to improve their lives that makes them a delight to deal with. I can imagine that if we were selling something like Ford Pick Up trucks that we would be dealing with an entirely different personality demographic that would perhaps incur altogether more adversarial interactions.
That dosnt mean its an easy gig though. The post pandemic period has been marked by rising costs and decreasing margins with extreme professional competition across all our purveyance sectors.
Yet it has ended as a year for us with some particular sunlit uplands. Our custom integration sector has greenshooted with a number of exciting projects that we are working on in the new year. We have been able to procure some fantastic brand opportunities with an emphasis on quality and enduring craftmanship that will place us very well in the street fight for clients favours.
Finally Carlton Audio Visual is getting a serious Christmas present. We have acquired a new premise in our immediate location that is an opportunity to consolidate and offer our client base an enhanced degree of service and presentation. We have closed and cleaned out three of our auxiliary buildings completed on Christmas Eve and are readying the new building for a February opening.
We are still very much trading out of our original and primary premises at 164 Lygon St which will remain with us for the forseeable future. That remains our meet and greet primary sales location until the new building is ready.
We look forward to meeting you all in the new year, needless to say the mandatory boxing day day sale is in place for the post christmas period.
