The hand built Aphelion Moving Coil cartridge is the ultimate in micro engineering and design.Taking two years to develop this ground breaking new cartridge is guaranteed to retrieve more music from your vinyl than ever before.To improve stiffness we have introduced a boron rod cantilever to increases tracking accuracy and performance. The stylus is a diamond 'Vital' profile rotated through 90 degrees to improve rigidity of the diamond mount.
Rega’s Moving Coil cartridge design is unique in its approach to achieving an ultra-low mass generator which is undamped (no tie wire) using a unique rhomboid pivot for the cantilever powered by a purpose designed, exclusive to Rega, Neodymium magnet system. This type of design requires a zero-tolerance engineered cartridge body which is Rega’s area of expertise and with the Aphelion these bodies are machined from one piece of the highest quality aluminium. This is a difficult and expensive process requiring all of Rega’s forty-four years of experience to achieve. In particular, the “zero” tolerancing of the body is required in the alignment and dimension of the pivot pad mounting hole and the magnet mechanism mounting hole relationship.

We offer free shipping to metropolitan areas on all orders over $100, except for orders containing the following products:
Televisions, Floorstanding speakers, Subwoofers and Package systems.
Shipping on these items will be standard delivery. If you want expedited shipping, an option should be available at checkout.
We try to dispatch all goods within 48 hours however from time to time the stock in store runs out before we have a chance to update the website. In these cases we will contact you if the item will take longer than 48 hours to be dispatched.
We strongly suggest that items are shipped to a business address, or an address where someone can sign for the delivery. On checkout you have the option of choosing Authoirty to Leave. This will not require a signature, but goods will be left at your premise and the delivery company will take no responsibility for them beyond this point.
Delivery times can vary depending on location. Regional areas may take more than 5 business days depending on the courier used.
