Sporting a unique and innovative cylinder design with a footprint measuring just 16.5-inches in diameter, the SVS PC-2000 subwoofer delivers unmatched bass performance per square-inch of floor space. Standing 34-inches tall with a 12-inch down-firing driver and 500 watts RMS, 1,100+ watts peak power DSP amplifier, the PC-2000 is a striking monolith of low frequency output that uses vertical height to achieve effortless bass output at all drive levels, with minimal floor space required. It is also the first SVS subwoofer to come standard with the SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System. The elastomer feet decouple and isolate the PC-2000 from the floor, resulting in tighter and cleaner bass with less room rattle and bass bleed into other rooms.

An icon of SVS subwoofer innovation, the cylinder-shaped cabinet design of the PC-2000 subwoofer lets owners benefit from the performance of a larger subwoofer, without sacrificing floorspace. Over 20 driver prototypes were built by hand and punished with rigorous real-world testing; including 100-hours straight of full power testing; before the final version of the 2000 Series driver was approved, making it one of the finest subwoofer drivers and motor assemblies in production.

These are now an old model of Rega loudspeakers so we're clearing our floorstock. This particular pair has some superficial marks on them and have been priced accordingly.

Bigger and beefier than the RX-3, the RX-5 thrives in larger living rooms or with people who want a bit more bass.

Side firing bass drivers deliver the ultimate in bass adjustability. If you'd like more bass simply move them closer to the rear and side walls. If you're after a leaner sound, simply move them out into the room a little more.

Monitor Audio Silver 200 7G from the 7th Generation of the Silver series is the elegant, slim form factor floorstanding speaker. The 200s may not fill a large space like the Silver 300s and 500s, but they are a perfect option for a small living room where floor space is valuable and listeners are discerning.

Once Bookshelf speaker stands are accounted for, the silver 200s are that slim that they actually have a smaller footprint than their equivalent bookshelf speakers. This 7th Generation of Silver 200s sees an update to the mid-bass drivers and tweeter waveguide that results in more precision and clarity in the sound. The finishes have also been updated using a more natural wood veneer and adding gloss black to the inventory. We're also excited that all the colourways will be readily available in Australia.

REL now is making a cute wooden subwoofer. A vintage sounding unit, it doesn't have quite the tightness, depth of bass and immediacy of something like the REL S510. 

Also unlike the T series of subwoofers in the REL range, it doesn't have the grippy, fullsome class A/B amplifier.

But what a lovely subwoofer for a set of bookshelf speakers! It's a soft sound that is different to other REL subs but altogether is more emotional where other RELs might feel a little colder.

It sounds so much better than the awful wooly subs that populate the sub $1000k space, that's for sure.

And what a pretty little thing as well. It has a furniture grade, mid century finish that is very smart yet equally homely.

Looking like a wet dream Q Acoustic 3030 in the finish they always promised but never delivered, these are a serious bit of high energy audiophile quadruply amplified bookshelf loudspeaker. Seriously the walnut gloss finish is actually extremely elegant, and perhaps serves to allay the slightly rotund form. (also please note they are $3200 in polished walnut as against $2725 in black or white)

The form is actually dictated by physics, if you want to get the best quality sound out of the smallest box with excellent imageing and good bass, well, you end up with cabinet about this size and drive unit configuration. That is why there are so many loudspeakers that are approximately this size that are actually very good.

They have a mellow, pleasant sound with a full rich bass that's not 'fluffy' or 'goofy'. They're the kind of speaker that you still want to listen to well into the 5th hour and easily fill a room with sound.

I have a confession to make to the HiFi world, I don't like Subwoofers! Well I don't like most Subwoofers. That sound of boomy over exaggerated bass masks all the good HiFi stuff like articulation detail, 3-dimensionality, big wide soundstage. Doing Subwoofers badly will turn your system into a flobby doof doof sound instead of adding bass in a cohesive way that'll fill out the mid range as well as the bass. Don't get me wrong, there are people who love that sort of sound (people who work at Carlton Audio Visual included!) and for them, we have other Subwoofers. For those, however, who are critical music listeners, who prefer detail and accuracy, consistency and finese, there's REL Subwoofers.

This latest bookshelf sized Gold series speaker from Monitor Audio is the only one in the range (no 50 this time). It strikes me as being the perfect size and this cabinet in combination with the AMT high frequency driver means a true "point-source" presentation is possible especially if you have a good set of stands and some high quality shielded speaker cable.

There is always a need for a full blooded high performance loudspeaker that will play at a level appropriate to hold a decent party in a good sized home at the same time as being capable of mellifluous reproduction of classical music at low levels late at night ....

The Krix Harmonix is that full performance envelope design. A very serious full range and blooded floorstanding transducer that treads softly while carrying a big stick.

The undisputed ruler of Centre Chanels, the Krix Epicentrix has the same driver configuration as its matching front left and right, the Neuphonix floorstanders.

In Home Theatre 80% or more of the movie soundtrack is mixed so that it comes out of the centre chanel. Dialogue is mixed to the center speaker to give the impression that the sound is coming from the screen. An expansive Centre Chanel will give a truer cinematic experience. The Epicentrix has been the obvious Home Theatre buff Centre Speaker for this reason. 

Normally centre speakers are a fraction the size and scope of their matching fronts. But Krix has seen the obvious value in a Centre Speaker of matching scope.

This is so pretty, a lustrous combination of wood with LED inlay and is a very sweet sound. It has already received a number of awards for its grace of design.

Unkindly described as a very elegant chopping board by one of my colleagues, the Omnia is actually a very clever piece of audio design that is to compete with the Devialet Phantom/Naim Muso type product. The Devialet and the Naim are actually really tough competition but on looks alone this one is a winner.
