An affordable and stylish TV by iconic German TV manufacturers, Loewe.

The We.SEE range is Loewe's new entry level TV and the 50 inch is their middle-sized offering. It is a full 4K TV unlike the smaller 32 inch version and also boasts the HDR10 rating. This is a brilliant picture for an LCD screen at this price.

It also comes with an integrated 80W soundbar that looks and sounds pretty sleek, all your integrated apps for a modern Smart TV and some nifty well designed cable management to keep that smart aesthetic. 

This is Loewe's newest offering targeting a more entry level buyer than their classic high-end units. 

It's a lot of TV for $2499 though. A classy build and finish that we come to expect from all Loewe products is not missing from the We.SEE range. This TV looks good when it's on and just as good when it's off.

It has an integrated soundbar that is a very capable 80W with a big, clear sound as well as all the smarts like Netflix and Youtube built-in and ready to press play.

A relatively small size of Television that is still German made and exceptional quality. These units have been very popular for people who don't want the huge gaudy monstrosities so ubiquitous in the TV market these days.

This is an elegant solution for a high quality yet petite set with all of the modern streaming capabilities built on board as well.

OLED TVs do away with the need to have a Backlight on the screen which inevitably causes bleed through onto the panel reducing colour and picture accuracy. Organic LEDs are different from normal LEDs in that they can individually switch themselves off. This is why people first notice the incredible blackness on an OLED screen - a traditional LED or LCD screen always has some residual light shining through. 

The Bild 3.55 is where the OLED screens begin in the Loewe range and like all Loewe products they offer a build quality far and above other manufacturers who also utilise OLED technology.

This is a Mini LED TV so unlike OLED, the LEDs cannot completely turn off. Some clever digital processing here, however, means that the backlight colour adjustment is handled very well.

The advantage of course of a Mini LED is that it is inherently brighter than the OLEDs making them a little better for Living rooms with lots of windows.

All of your smarts are built into this one package that is very user friendly. 

Of course the Bravia 9 will give you better off axis performance, more accurate colours and calibration capabilities but there's a heftier. price tag to achieve that.

With this new range of Televisions, Loewe is bringing their OLED screens into a more affordable price bracket. With the 48" coming in at $3999, we're anticipating that the new i series will be their most popular models yet. 

Loewe were the first manufacturers of Televisions in 1923 and have continued their legacy of producing quality products for nearly 100 years. Like a Porsche, Mercedes or BMW this German brand of Television is built with a higher set of expectations in mind. Loewe's do without the gimics and fads. They create TVs that outlast their Asian competitors in terms of picture quality for multiple generations. And their build quality is second to none.

We've had many interior designers who buy Loewe for their own homes come to us for Televisions. The elegance and reputation of a Loewe is something else.

The quality on the finish of these TVs is second to none as one has come to expect with Loewe. Details like all the wiring funelled through a centralised metal pole (no plastic here) and a table stand that you're able to pivot for optimising your viewing angle are taken care of unlike in most Asian TV models.

These new Loewes also come with Native built-in apps and the remote control even has a dedicated set of buttons for quick access to Netflix and Youtube.

Speakers are located on the back of the panels for these models. There is an option to buy this Television with a Soundbar that clips onto the front of the TV as well - the Bild i s 48.

We see this projector as the perfect unit for an avid gamer. Of course, it's a fabulous looking Home Theatre Projector as well and will double up nicely playing films. But it really stands out from the crowd when it comes to gaming.

This is because it has 240Hz refresh rate which is double the current industry standard of 120Hz and most TVs will still only do 60Hz. This means everything gaming is fluid and more precise. Split second changes are caught with this incredible refresh rate.

It also has a USB-C input - very uncommon on Home Theatre machines - designed specifically to plug the Nintendo Swithch straight into the back of it. On that, we would suggest plugging your gaming hardware into the back of this unit and bypassing any AV receiver that might be in the system in order to get the most out of the ultra fast inputs and refresh rates.

Of course, you can take an audio out to the amp to get your audiophile sound.

Sony Bravia 8 is a 4K OLED TV newly released. It sits between the Bravia 7 Mini LED and the Bravia 9 which is also a Mini LED. Interestingly it is the only option of an OLED in the Bravia range.

The deep Blackness of the background to this unit allows all the colours to really pop and contrast beautifully. It is not as bright as the older OLED TVs that Sony has made in the past but the Bravia 9 (Mini LED) has been designed to replace those units and be even brighter.

However this unit is a lot cheaper than the A95 series of Sonys for which is it generally compared. And for this price you get the XR processing chip which has an almost cult like following with Videophiles.

Comparing it to the LGs, Sony has worked hard on the details of the design of this TV. The unit is uniformly slim from top to bottom unlike the LGs that look slim but bulge at the bottom; It has a clever foot design where there are options for placing the two feet supports towards the edge or more towards the middle of the TV. These feet have some height adjustability as well offering nice customisations for your space.

At the moment these are available in a 55" and a 65" version. Check in with us as there may be a 77" coming.

We've managed to secure what we're told is the very last shipment of these fabulous TVs for a killer price. Only three of them though.

Loewe started manufacturing Televisions in 1923 and actually made the first commercially available Television. After a few years of being manufactured in other European countries, they're now back being produced and headquartered in Kronach, Germany's heartland.

I visited Kronach and the Loewe factory in 2015. Kronach is a tiny town for German standards and its industry and in fact it's whole economy has been dominated by Loewe for generations. Most people who live in Kronach work or have worked in the Loewe factory. When I was there, there were multiple generations of the one family working side by side to exacting standards on the Televisions. All of this in what is a Storybook looking town with old wooden houses and a medieval castle on the hill.

Loewe Televisions, like premium German made motor vehicles, contain a workmanship and attention to detail above their Asian made counterparts. Machine engineered alloy bezels, cable management systems, intuitive remote and interface and swivel stands that come as standard are the details that don't come with other Televisions.

The Bild V is elegant, yet solid and robust to out live most of its contempories.

The picture quality, as you'd expect with a Television of this calibre, is bold and expressive without ever seeming artificial. Although it's pitched at replacing the old Bild 5 units, the Bild V has the same panel as the higher end Bild 7 and in substance is much closer in spec to those. 

Expect this Television to out perform generations of other Asian made units because of the picture and build quality. An expectional Television.
