The Terra Prime SSD drive with 8TB of storage on board is the logical place to start the expansion of your Kaleidescape universe. We've found the SSD drives faster and more powerful and work so well to complement the Strato players.

You can pair up to 25 different players with an SSD model as opposed to 10 with an HDD model.

The SSD (Solid State Drive) version is the reference model capable of downloading a movie within 4mins and adding up to 25 players in multiple rooms for a whole house experience.
Terra Prime movie servers store Kaleidescape movies, TV series, and concerts. Kaleidescape movies have lossless audio and reference video, are downloaded asynchronously and then played back from local storage. This enables playback with full fidelity, irrespective of internet connectivity.
Kaleidescape movie files are typically ten times larger than streamer movies, retaining near lossless video and fully lossless audio fidelity from studio masters. By contrast, streaming movie files are heavily compressed to create small movie files that can be streamed over the internet.
Kaleidescape movies are played back on Strato movie players. The Strato V movie player can store about ten downloaded movies. But for greater movie storage capacity and immediate playback of more movies, you can group Strato V with up to four Terra Prime movie servers.
