Krix Megaphonix In-Room Floorstanding Speaker

These are an unusual transducer in an environment of politically correct conservative designs that “look nice” … There is no compromise of form over function with the Krix Megaphonix range.

One needs to make the point that this exact same speaker can be purchased as a floor standing device like this. Or as a horizontal centre channel LCR … or as a flush mount in wall product … or as an angled on wall … or as a flat on wall/ceiling configuration.

When you want your surround system to translate those explosions a little more literally, yet still keep your vocal track lovely and clean, Krix have you covered. The semi-commercial SX range is all about bringing the "theater" into "home theater". These are 95dB efficient, horn loaded beasties that have utterly devastating dynamic range and slam. Amazingly exciting, and potentially dangerous; they are the audio equivalent of a big bag of cocaine (apparently).

Granted, the plain black boxes are clearly function over form. At the sight of them dogs bark and small children start to cry, and the milk instantly spoilt in our break room when they were installed. Who cares though? They are to hide their faces in the dark of a cinema room or behind an acoustically transparent projector screen. There are more compact wall mountable versions available as required.
