The Marantz AMP 20 is a remarkably powerful 12-channel amplifier designed for serious home theatre systems, particularly when paired with the Marantz AV 20 Preamp/Processor. Together, they form the heart of an elite, reference-level cinema setup, with the AMP 20 delivering a substantial 200 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms or 400 watts into 4 Ohms. Its custom-developed, high-efficiency Class D amplification is combined with Marantz’s exclusive HDAM and refined HDAM-SA2 technology, bringing plenty of power to a high channel count while maintaining the low distortion and precision expected of a reference system.

Marantz has also taken considerable care with what happens behind the scenes. Separate power supplies for the line-level and high-power stages help maintain signal purity from input to output, while the AMP 20 has been meticulously Sound Master tuned through careful component selection, with individual parts chosen for their sonic qualities.
