Marantz AMP 30 6 Channel Power Amplifier
The Marantz AMP 30 is a powerful slimline six-channel amplifier, designed to partner with an AV preamplifier to form an outstanding home theatre system. With 200 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms and 400 Watts into 4 Ohms, it combines Marantz’s exclusive HDAM technology with highly efficient, low-distortion Class D amplification to deliver serious power across multiple channels. For more ambitious installations, additional AMP 30, AMP 20 or AMP 10 power amplifiers can be added to accommodate more complex speaker configurations. The custom-developed Class D amplification and refined HDAM circuitry are designed to produce the scale, control and dynamics required for a genuinely reference-level home theatre experience, while Marantz Sound Master tuning brings a careful balance of component selection and engineering to the final result.
There is rather more to the AMP 30 than what happens inside the chassis, too. Its steel and aluminium construction has a distinctly modern interpretation of Marantz’s heritage, with a subtly textured front panel and the familiar porthole design illuminated by soft, dimmable sidelights. It is an elegant piece of design without making a great fuss about it, which seems entirely appropriate for an amplifier intended to sit at the heart of a serious home theatre system. As ever with Marantz, the approach is a considered blend of engineering, craftsmanship and sound, with every element selected and tuned by the company’s Sound Masters for both performance and presentation.
