Mission 778CDT CD Transport
Housed in the same elegant, compact half-width design and striking retro form that made the 778X a modern classic, the 778CDT completes the 778 Series as its dedicated CD transport — a digital-first device designed for audio purity and seamless system integration. At its heart, the 778CDT employs a custom CD transport mechanism with a precision servo control system, engineered to ensure stable disc rotation, accurate tracking, and robust error correction. A temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) is used as the master clock, significantly reducing jitter and delivering a clean, stable SPDIF signal to the downstream DAC. The result is a digital output that remains faithful to the source, allowing connected DACs to perform at their best.
