We are renowned for having a selection of classy English speakers here at Carlton Audio Visual. I have to admit that when we were first approached to stock ProAc, I thought we didn't have space for another english speaker. One listen of these however and you can tell they are a cut above the rest.
A tight articulate bass unperpins a consistent mid and treble with real sound stage and presence.
The quality of the wood finish is top quality. Some of these other english speakers mark instanly. I mean we've had trouble in the unpacking process because the wood finish marks so easily. These are made of hardy real wood finish and do not have that problem.
They are understated, yet slim and elegant. They will fit into the most discerning of Audiophile and interior designed homes.
They come in a Soft dome and a Ribbon tweeter option. Both the same price. We have the soft dome version on demo.
There is however a difference in the price of the standard and premium wood finishes

Available with the choice of either a dome (D20D) or a ribbon (D20R) tweeter.
The cabinet design uses the same type of bass loading as the D30S and D48 models which makes the speaker easier to position with respect to its frequency response.
The result is a wonderful open and expansive midrange with a substantial bass and sweet and detailed high frequencies from either ProAc tweeter option. A large sound stage is also a bonus.
