We have been very impressed by these stands. To get the most out of your bookshelf speakers it is important to get the stands right. So much thought and effort goes into making the speaker box itself rigid but the benefits can be lost when you simply put your speakers on a shelf or some wobbly Ikea furniture.
These stands have decoupled top plates sitting on top of high density vibration absorbing steel. Floor spikes work to not only stop any errant vibrations from the speaker going into the floor, they stop vibrations from the floor causing audio havoc with your speakers. All of this helps keep the speakers stable and resonant free which means clearer, more dynamic sound for your ears!

Solidsteel’s legendary SS Series speaker stands date back to 1992 and were designed by Solidsteel’s founder, Moreno Conti.
It is of critical importance for the performance of monitor-type loudspeakers to have them positioned at the correct height. Additionally, since this type of speaker is often relatively light in weight compared to floor-standing units, it is essential to maintain high stability and rigidity. And, as with all components, proper decoupling must be considered.
The Solidsteel SS Series fulfils a longstanding need regarding the proper setup and enjoyment of monitor speakers and should be considered to be almost as important as the speakers they support. The three steel tubular supporting rods are hand welded together with brass. The stainless steel spikes are removable to allow the frame to be filled with damping material. The top plate in MDF is interchangeable, ensuring a high degree of optimization with the largest number of loudspeakers. Decoupling between the chassis and the shelf is achieved through three high precision steel ball bearings.
These unique tripods are assembled through a traditional brass welding process, expertly performed by hand. The average production time of a single piece is about 15 minutes, with all its parts already prepared for processing. These characteristics make them inimitable and unique.
