Project Debut Carbon Evo with Ortofon 2M Red
On Special for Black Friday until stocks run-out. Only WALNUT available.
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon looms large in HiFi circles as a must hear Vinyl player in the $1K price bracket. It's an affordable deck with a good sound. A little less money than a Rega Planar 3 ($1449), it doesn't have the cleanliness in the sound of the Rega but it's a major step up from the Primary E or the Essential in the Pro-Ject range. All of a sudden you're getting a real Turntable, not something that feels like a toy designed only to sit on a dresser and be played only when friends are over.
A solid Turntable for when you start to get serious about Vinyl.

The new Sony Projector 8. Utilising the incredible XR processing chips as well as the very best of lenses means this projector has set a new standard for Home Theatres in the $20K range.
2700 lumens is brighter than the previous 7000 model. The laser light in combination with the pimped out lens makes this epic brightness possible.
Lens memory is also a significant feature that allows you to easily experience trues wide screen cinema in your very own home.
A couple of nice tricks means keystoning will be a breeze. You can put this unit directly onto the ceiling and have it image perfectly with its zone by zone adjustment capabilities.

ViewSonic X1 Projector, 4K compact LED Theatre
Lamp free projectors have only in the last couple of years come down in price below the $10K mark. And now there are offerings like this little beauty for below $5K!
Using LED technology, this unit is bright and fun. Not to be confused with its 1080p sibling this projector is full 4K UHR.
...And yes, we think lamps and globes are quickly being relegated to the realms of archeology.

Epson LS12000 Laser Projector
Bigger, brighter and more beautiful, the future is Laser.
This is Epson's first real 4K unit but more than that, it will actually pixel shift that whole 4K matrix. This means it'll be BETTER than 4K...and that's unheard of in the residential projector market.
It's also a 3 chip LCD design meaning there is zero rainbowing. Rainbows are nice after rain but not on your projector screen. There really aren't many projectors with 3 chips under the $10K mark.
Traditionally this place in the market has been dominated by Sony projectors in Australia. But this Epson may just trump them!
Read some of the glowing reviews coming out of the USA.
Here's one from PCMAG
And this one from AVS Forum here where they promptly gave out a Top Choice Award to it as best in class.

Epson TW9400 LCD Video Projector
This hot hatch of mid range video projectors is very bright and powerful. It has been getting outstanding reviews from the critics for its forceful bright image and versatility.
The 9400 has a couple of outstanding characteristics in the Australian market ... it has a full three year warranty that uniquely includes the globe, and replacement globes are only $110 trade ...
Larger than its Sony competitors and not quite as smooth an image, but excellent for a theatre situation with some residual light, good adjustability and set up options.
Comes in White and Black. Please call for availability of colour options.

Project Clamp It Aluminium Record Clamp
Functional and easy to use sound improvement!
Vinyl sound can be significantly improved, when unwanted resonances between record and platter can be reduced, while playback. Therefore surfaces of record and platter should connect tigthly.
Standard record pucks, that use weight to achieve this, have 2 disadvantages:
1) The weight can induce higher levels of rumble, when used with lower cost turntables which have less massive main bearings
2) Instead of tightening the records surface to the platter, heavy weight record pucks can cause the opposite: Vinyl will get shaped like a bowl with no contact of the outer edges of the record to the platter.
Both will affect the sound negatively.
Clamp it is the real solution, an accessory with a clamp mechanism around the center spindle, that will not add weight, which would induce rumble. You can fine-adjust pressure according condition of your warped records. Fitting of Clamp it is easily done within seconds. This accessory will not only please your ears, its beautifully machined diamond-cut edges will also look extremely cool on any turntable!

Project Xtension 9 with Pick It DS2 (Moving Coil Cartridge)
Superlative vinyl performance from a compact luxurious turntable/arm configuration!
Xtension 9 Evolution incorporates all our turntable design experience from more than 20 years in a slim-line size to fit standard audio racks. Xtension 9 chassis is made from MDF filled with metal granulate, that gives high mass and is non-resonant. Magnetic feet, which decouple the main plinth from its base, are combined with a weighty 16kg total turntable mass. The result is a unique combination of 'mass loaded' and 'floating turntable' design principles. Instead of pure metal for the main platter, we've found a perfect alloy which we damped on with thermo plastc elastomers (TPE). Additionally we've glued recycled Vinyl records to the top (which act as a perfect mat) and bake this 'sandwich' before precision balancing it. The final product subsequently benefits from a wonderfully resonance-free, heavy platter, that runs ultra-silently on an inverted ceramic ball bearing with magnetic suspension. Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution includes a top-class highend tonearm „9cc Evolution“ and comes complete with a beautiful dustcover.

Project Debut Evo 2 new model turntable with cartridge
This replaces the long standing Debut Carbon Evo and the Project engineers have really done a number on this. They have upgraded and changed every significant component to attack the fundamentals of analogue vinyl reproduction where it matters in terms of radically lowering the noise floor and magnetic and electrical back ground noise. Plus they have improved the specification dramatically of the critical tonearm pivots and main bearing. This is a radical upgrade portfolio that really puts this turntable on the map for performance of music reproduction..
Allied to the purpose made Ortofon 2M derivative cartridge supplied and fitted and it is clear this has the iconic Rega Planar 3 firmly in its sites!
It looks lovely in the new Satin wine red finish ...

Acoustic Energy Corinium loudspeakers ... as though hewn of ancient stone
The brand new Acoustic Energy Coriniums are now on demonstration at Carlton Audio Visual
Acoustic Energy was founded in 1987 and its ethos has always been about bringing high-end sound to an affordable level. The Corinium, however, is taking this further. This time Acoustic Energy has developed its own high-end loudspeaker.
Acoustic Energy has always been clear on what its sound is. For each new speaker design, Acoustic Energy have their team listening and referencing their old speakers to match the sound and then go in with acute measuring devices to verify what they're hearing.
The goal was to continue the hallmark Acoustic Energy sound yet add another two levels of performance on their current reference speakers.
This meant an excruciating years long process to find the perfect driver materials that would exactly match their criteria.
The bass drivers are Carbon like the 500 series but don't let this fool you, they have been redesigned behind those cones so that they are faster and less coloured than their little brothers.
The tweeter has been completely redesigned. Now using a Tetoron driver which holds its shape under extreme excursion but also has the signature Acoustic Energy warmth and engagement.
The last interesting piece of this design I'll mention, although there are many that you can read about here, is the front baffle design. It is made of two materials: mdf housing the bass and mid drivers and an aluminium front baffle which holds the tweeter isolating the tweeter from any unwanted infractions from the mid and bass.
All in all, the Coriniums are a beautiful and thoughtfully made set of speakers. Still not extravagantly expensive...although this is all relative of course.

Sonus Faber Electa Amator III loudspeakers ... Classic Italiana
The original Electa Amator was one of the foundation models for Sonus faber that set the seductive timbre and musicaity allied to unique cabinetry artisanship that is very much the signature of this brand.
The Electa Amator III is immensly tactile with its combination of wood marble and leather, In my mind it feels like one of those precious pieces of preserved Roman art that is found in the corridoors of The Louvre rather than a mere loudspeaker.
These speakers do not come with the stands. Their matching stands which have a base of Carrara Marble can be purchased separately for $2995.

It features a high level input and a beefer class AB amplifier like the REL subwoofers which makes it very versatile with music and home theatre listening.
