Available to audition in their own Lygon st Showroom. These are a speaker of remarkable presence and beauty. They are highly capable of presenting the music in a natural and completely unfettered manner. Properly powered it doesn't matter what the volume is, they retain their particular quality at low volume and can very nearly do PA type sound pressure levels while remaining tonally consistent throughout. I fell in love with the spiritual and physical precursor to this speaker being the NS1000 of the 1980's, indeed I still have clients from that era who bought those speakers back then from me and feed them a diet of new amplification and sources every 15 years or so. Loewe started manufacturing Televisions in 1923 and actually made the first commercially available Television. After a few years of being manufactured in other European countries, they're now back being produced and headquartered in Kronach, Germany's heartland.

I visited Kronach and the Loewe factory in 2015. Kronach is a tiny town for German standards and its industry and in fact it's whole economy has been dominated by Loewe for generations. Most people who live in Kronach work or have worked in the Loewe factory. When I was there, there were multiple generations of the one family working side by side to exacting standards on the Televisions. All of this in what is a Storybook looking town with old wooden houses and a medieval castle on the hill.

Loewe Televisions, like premium German made motor vehicles, contain a workmanship and attention to detail above their Asian made counterparts. Machine engineered alloy bezels, cable management systems, intuitive remote and interface and swivel stands that come as standard are the details that don't come with other Televisions.

The Bild V is elegant, yet solid and robust to out live most of its contempories.

The picture quality, as you'd expect with a Television of this calibre, is bold and expressive without ever seeming artificial. Although it's pitched at replacing the old Bild 5 units, the Bild V has the same panel as the higher end Bild 7 and in substance is much closer in spec to those. 

Expect this Television to out perform generations of other Asian made units because of the picture and build quality. An expectional Television.

The Pro-Ject E1 BT is a handy version of the E1 with Bluetooth transmitter capable of transmitting the turntable signal to Bluetooth speakers, headphones or amplifers.

Be aware though that in turning your turntable signal into a Bluetooth one, you are makng it digital. The beauty of the analogue signal from start to finish which is what makes Vinyl stand out from other music mediums is lost.

Another exciting new offering from Denon as the replacement of the AVC-X4700.  Actually it dosn''t really look that exciting, in fact it looks exactly the same as the other Denon'amplifiers from the last thirty three years that we have been selling them. The good thing ... the really good thing about this do everything amp, is that it carries that cusp of technologies that will carry a potential owner for another ten or fifteen years of ownership . Without having to replace an amp every fifteen years because it has outdated HDMI switching, or a urine weak power supply that breaks down at every voltage surge. This is an amp that will go the distance.

This unit is crafted in the Japanese factory of Denon, their premium factory in Shirakawa. The AVC-X4700H did not have this luxury and the move over to Japan prompted a complete redesign of the unit's internal structure. They now use a Monolithic Amp Layout as opposed to a vertical layout. Solid heat sinks and a more discreet amplifier module design for much superior clarity and definition are instantly recognisable in this new design. See the attached images of the internal amp module output stages of the 4700 opposed to that of the 4800.

This unit will also come with the option to have 4 subwoofers each independently controllable, as with the AVC-X3800H. And the optional addition of Dirac live as well.
