The Model 40N is a rich, warm sounding amplifier with an easy-to-use high quality streaming module built-in.

Leema Acoustics are a very established HiFi brand from Wales. A small factory with boutique appeal that's been making high end HiFi for decades. They've been a mainstay at Carlton Audio Visual and people particularly love them for their warmth and controlled presentation. 

This new version of the Pulse comes with such modern niceties as APTX bluetooth, great phono stage and a highly capable DAC.

A smaller less powerful version of the i9 XR, the i7 XR is the amplifier of choice for those with less demanding speakers. Rated at 52W into 6 Ohms.

Built with a redesigned preamplifier stage, new power supply and power amp, this is a unit that steps up considerably from older Cyrus gear.

At Carlton Audio Visual we have stocked Cyrus for over 30 years and many of us who work here have cyrus at home. I personally have a CD8SE, Phono Signature and PSX-R power supply. Their musical sound, detail and precision means that they continue to be favourites for our most discerning customers.

A lovely piece of work and a notable inclusion to the Marantz range ... one absolutely loves the adjustable Phono MC input impedance. The original Marantz Consollette made in New York in 1953 had phono equaliser controls on the front. These are made with love in the Japanese factory and will be in great demand.

The phono tech in this amplifier makes it an awesome choice for a good quality turntable based setup.

By the way it's hard to overstate just how pretty this amplifier is and even more so if you put it together with the matching Cd Player Streamer component.

Have your cake and eat it with a Yamaha Receiver born again for the third decade of the 21st Century … the RN2000 is going to be very much in demand. In some ways this hearkens back to the Receiver wars of the seventies where the likes of Yamaha Marantz Sansui and Hitachi made increasingly higher powered and more heavily buttoned AM FM receivers that became the battleships of the marketplace. This RN2000 is more of a Heavy Cruiser than a Yamato class product though ... Like the Heavy Cruisers of the Japanese Navy in the early forties, the RN2000 is outstandingly useful and versatile with a remarkable number of functions and high performance in a single chassis. Unlike the mad flagship battleships they proved to be tough and largely survived the awful depredations of the Pacific war until sunk as target practice in 1946.

This RN2000 is really nice though, actually a straightforward combination of the highly acclaimed AS1200 stereo amplifier with a high grade multifunction streaming engine and DAC. Come and listen to it through sweet natured loudspeakers. The FM section by the way is absolutely fantastic, hearkening back to the Yamaha T7 tuner of yore that is considered a reference for analogue broadcast quality.

The much anticipated new version of the H190 is here, the H190V. Not only does this new model have a dedicated, high quality Phono stage on board, it has also been redesigned with a lower noise floor amplifier board and new power supplys.

The phono stage itself is based on Hegel's acclaimed V10 phono stage. It is MM (Moving Magnet) only.

Like all PrimaLuna product, the Evo 300 integrated offers fantastic features and great value for a seriously classy Tube integrated amplifier. 

It comes with EL34 Tubes, widely regarded as the most musical sounding larger output tubes. A lusciousness that's often described as the real 'Tubey' sound.

However, if you'd like to put in other Tubes - it's easy because of the Auto-biasing circuitry that all PrimaLunas have on board. You can even whack in weird combinations of tubes, and it won't miss a beat. 

The Auto-biasing also constantly adjusts to account for the variation of tubes over a lifetime. 

Improvements on the Evo 200 model include Swiss made, silver plated, oxygen free copper, point-to-point wiring and upgraded very fancy resistors.

The power, Wattage, ratings may not be as high but don't let this fool you - this is a better amp. With Class A, Tube amps, Wattage ratings can be very misleading. This amp will grip your speaker better than the EVO 200 and has a lower noise floor so you'll hear more detail. Make no mistake!

I've been waiting years for this amplifier. Even before there was a tantilising rumour that Rega had started designing the elusive amp that sits between the Elicit R ($3799) and the Osiris ($13,995), it was a near constant lament from customers - 'but why doesn't Rega make an amp at the $5K - $7K range. I love the Osiris but it's out of budget and I need something more than the Elicit R'. 

Well it has arrived and it is beautiful. A newly designed casing that is solid and industrial but with some sexy curves that form cutouts to reveal the bulky heat sinks underneath.

And how does it sound...well...it grips and it dictates yet its smoothness is alluring. Detail, tightness and extension in the bass is all there but there's also the lusciousness and enveloping blanket of sound that you only get with a Rega.

The Aethos has set a new benchmark at this price point.
