The Optimum is the fourth of IsoTek’s high-performance power cables to be upgraded to the new advanced EVO3 (Evolution 3) version, and is clearly positioned at the top of the range. The new EVO3 Optimum delivers radical advances over its predecessor, the earlier GII version. Cutting-edge thinking in terms of conductor geometries has been combined with excellent materials to develop a cable of superlative quality. At the Optimum’s core are three silver plated copper conductors made from Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper. The OCC process for refining copper, developed and patented by Professor Ohno of Japan’s Chiba Institute of Technology, gives a vastly superior level of purity compared with traditional OFC copper. The benefits for audio and AV applications include outstanding electrical conductivity along with improved flexibility and resistance to fatigue and corrosion. Each of the three 3.0sqmm conductors features a new and innovative square-shaped configuration of 40 strands, each strand also being of square cross-section. This unique design provides an enlarged inter-strand contact surface, further enhancing electrical conductivity. A high quality Teflon FEP dielectric (insulation) is extruded over each conductor, providing a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. The three conductors are given a slight rotational twist to aid RFI and EMI rejection, and are then surrounded by a cotton filler which, as well is adding internal strength and reducing microphony, also possesses superb dielectric properties – similar to FEP. The whole construction is then double shielded by first enclosing it in a Mylar wrap to provide an additional dielectric buffer, before applying an active OFC copper shield for maximum rejection of high frequency interference. This is where the Acoustic Signature Tonearms start to get really really good. We jump up to an anti-skating knob which is capable of much more precise adjustments in anti-skate. And don't underestimate the importance of anti-skate with any reasonable quality cartridge. It can clean up woolyness in the sound. This little feature gets the tonearm to a point where those differences are very noticeable.

The TA-2000 NEO also has better bearings than the TA-500 NEO and the TA-1000 NEO. Acoustic Signature say they are 'almost frictionless ball bearings' and they're not ones to over exaggerate.

Looking like a wet dream Q Acoustic 3030 in the finish they always promised but never delivered, these are a serious bit of high energy audiophile quadruply amplified bookshelf loudspeaker. Aureder A15 is a do-it-all box that is transparent and revealing in its sound. If you value accuracy and want a streamer with all the bells and whistles, this is the unit for you.

It has a DAC on board and can function as a preamplifier as well. But if you have an integrated amplifier or a dedicated preamplifier you can bypass the preamplifier function by selecting direct out.

This unit has 2 bays available for inserting your own hard drives. Aurender leaves the choice of hard drive up to you. For some people 4TB seems like a huge amount, for others, they'll want it pimped out with a 16TB. 

Like any other Aurender, the A15 uses internal caching. This means when a track is selected it will be downloaded onto the internal SSD before it's played. Once it's in that temporary storage, you don't have to worry about buffering the track, it will play seamlessly. This system also makes things sound better by creating more isolation between input and output signal.

What we also love about Aurender units and the A15 is the internal tech support. If something's not working quite right or if you just have a question simply go to the link in the app and someone will sort it out for you. We've used this feature when we had an issue with the A30 playing MQA into the Audio Research app. Tech support in the States pushed through a bit of software that fixed it up instantly!

The A12 is a favoured work horse for systems where power control and flexibility is needed. At the heart of this amplifier is an over engineered toroidal transformer - a big chunky power supply designed to limit interference with other components within the chassis.
