  • Acoustic Signature Tornado Neo (without Tonearm or Cartridge)

Modeled on the High End Invictus Turntable, the Tornado Neo offers the best of Acoustic Signature design at a modest price point.

Complete with 4 silencers on the platter that dampen vibrations, capacity to have up to 3 different tonearms and diamond coated spindle on the bearing, this is a serious turntable from a company that's serious about turntables.

You won't find any mention of colouration, bloom or muddiness in descriptions of this turntable. If you're after the fluffy uncontrolled vinyl sounds of the 70s, there are many other options out there. If you want to hear what modern turntable design of the 21st century can do when every detail of the Turntable is examined for its inertia and low resonance properties, you must look at an Acoustic Signature. The result of though-out engineering coupled with an exposed yet beautiful industrial design is a turntable that is sounds devastatingly clear and musical and shows off its engineering prowess with a raw beauty.

  • Roksan Attessa CD Transport

Designed to pair with the matching streaming amplifier, Roksan have made some interesting choices in the design of their new CD transport.

Uniquely, you can control this CD transport via the BluOs app. This is the software system developed for BlueSound components. If you already have BlueSound, the Attessa units will integrate perfectly into your home multi-room audio setup.

As the name suggests it is purely a transport with no Digital to Analogue Converter attached and therefore needs to be connected to an amplifier with a DAC or a separate DAC unit. Do note, there is only one digital out of this unit, a Coax out, so you'll need to use that connection on a DAC. Coax digital connection is what we suggest you use for such digital connections anyway.

It forms a sleek integrated system with the Attessa streaming amplifier where it its design and functionality will shine.

  • Loewe Bild S 77", Germany's best OLED TV

The Bild S is German Television manufacturer, Loewe's, reference set. When on, it's an image that draws everyone in to stare at open mouthed. It's realism and depth is awe inspiring. A boldness of colour that is mesmerising and lacks the artificiality seen on other TVs.

This set sets itself apart not only by its image quality but the finish on the unit as well. With a double layer of glass, a motorised screen that slides up to reveal the soundbar as well as a slim bezel that feels like it's hewn from alien rock. The whole unit is machined and engineered to a premium specification.

The Bild S looks and feels expensive without being over the top and ostentatious. It blends into a room when its not on. Not drawing attention to itself until its switched on and it beckons you in.

Because of the high quality of materials and precise construction, the Bild S offers a longevity that's not afforded by other Asian manufacturers. For those who'd like to buy just one TV that will last a decade or more, Loewe is the one. I have a 10 year old Loewe Television at home and the picture quality demolishes most modern, Asian sets you can buy these days.

In the Loewe tradition, the soundbar on the Bild S consists of a front firing, sleek looking 2 x 60W stereo array. The set is more than capable of punching out an engaging soundtrack. There's no need to add a bulky cumbersome sound system to these sets. For those who want a stand alone, do it all Television, the Bild S is perfect.

These Televisions are loved by interior designers and Audio Visual enthusiasts alike. Elegance and performance in one package.

  • MEZE Empyrean Elite, Reference Headphones

Now available in the darker, matt Tungsten finish as well as the classic Aluminium.

This Elite model from Meze is an improvement on their already spectacular Empyrean Headphones. A new driver design creates a bigger soundstage and more detail.

The Meze Empyreans have been extraordinarily popular and from all accounts these lack nothing that the Empyreans have in terms of sound and general performance. Just improving on what was already a sensational base.

Meze has collaborated with Ukraine’s Rinaro Isodynamics who designed the MZ3 isodynamic driver found in the Empyrean. After three years of research and development, Rinaro makes the updated MZ3SE drivers used in the Elite. This brings their new “Parus” low mass acoustic diaphragm built using a proprietary “ultra-thin biaxially oriented semi-crystalline polymer film”, and arranged in a rather unique and complex way for maximum sonic results.

  • Bluesound Node N130

This is the model 130 node that slightly confusingly has less numbers on the box than the earlier model. This is the update for the model 2i and Bluesound has made some quality-of-life improvements under the hood of the new products with a new quad-core ARM Cortex A53 processor and a new DAC that operates at 32-bit/384 kHz and supports audio resolutions up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

The new units also include HDMI eARC and also have a lower signal-to-noise ratio of -113 (down from -110dB) and THD+N of 0.002% (down from 0.005%). The inclusion of the HDMI makes the new Node more media-center friendly, with the ability to hook it up to your TV and entertainment system. There have been some design improvements with an enhanced full-glass touch interface and precise volume slider.

As well as listening to the NODE through a conventional hi-fi system, users can also listen via headphones or even Bluetooth headphones thanks to an aptX HD transmitter as well as receiver.

The Bluesound aesthetic remains, with a sleek looking box (in either black or white), and intuitive touch controls. You'll want to put it in a central location and show this thing off. All your music is ready for listening at the touch of a button.

  • Denon DHT-S517 Soundbar & Subwoofer with Heos

For a lot of people, a slim soundbar that delivers clarity and depth to the sound without encompassing the whole entertainment space is a perfect solution. For many of our customers who err on the side of audiophile fanaticism, it's perhaps more appropriate for a kids rumpus room or secondary entertainment space that is used less often.

The Denon soundbars are good for what they are but make no mistake, a soundbar will never beat a complete Home Theatre setup.

  • Denon DHT-S217 Soundbar

A small soundbar on a budget. It will never get you to a place of real Home Theatre immersion but maybe that's not what you'll need it for.

Denon is a universally respected HiFi brand and given the popularity of soundbars by middle income earners, it's no wonder they've come out with a range of different units to suit a variety of budgets.

If you're a real audiophile looking for good quality sound in a soundbar form, I'd suggest you look at the DHT-S516 though.

  • Naim CD5Si

Naim is one of the best of English HiFi brands harking from Salisbury where their design and manufacturing facilities are located. They are one of the true high-end electronic brands that make gear like their Statement Amplifiers retailing for a cool $375,000 for a set.

This little CD player is their entry level but for most people this doesn't represent your typical first-time-buyer HiFi component. It's intricately thought out, meticulously engineered, clean and musical.

The typical comparison is with Rega and Cyrus CD players, both english and both also in our inventory. The Naim is more transparent sounding than a Rega Apollo, finding more detail and space in the music. It's closer in performance to the bigger (and more expensive) Rega Saturn. The Saturn, however, has a richer tonality to it than the Naim. A bit more 'rounded' on the treble. The Cyrus CDi, has a similar sound signature and as a half size unit it offers a convenient footprint. The slot mechanism will never be a perfectly reliable solution for a CD player though and what Naim has done with their tray and resonance reduction is really admirable.

In conclusion, this is a unit to throw into the mix from one of the best manufacturers out there. It may well be the perfect unit for you. Feel free to call us to talk more and have a read of some of its stellar reviews from well trusted HiFi institutions.

Naim products bought from us, a genuine approved Naim dealer, include the full 2 year warranty.

  • Naim Nait 5Si Integrated Amplifier

This will be the last of the made in England Naim amplifiers as the factory is moving to Eastern Europe. Everything made in the Salisbury factory will instantly become a classic. Stock available now while they last.

Naim Nait 5Si is the latest iteration of an amplifier 30 years in the making. Naim is an iconic british HiFi brand that continues its 40 year legacy of design and manufacture in Salisbury, U.K. The very first NAIT amplifier was built at a time when Mr. Tiefenbrun of Linn Acoustics was proclaiming that all that matters in a HiFi system is your source, namely your turntable. For the purest reconstruction of pace, rythym and timing one needed to perfect the source of the electronic signal path and then keep everything as simple as possible through the amplifier and speakers which inherently (according to Tiefenbrun) don't have much impact on the sound.

At this time, there was an effort to frame the amplifier in a marketable sense as just something that outputed current but wasn't part of the HiFi craftmanship and nuanced engineering that really created a true HiFi experience.

Although I'm appreciative of how much of a difference fantastic source material makes to a HiFi system (I even own a Linn Sondek Turntable) my experience and those of countless other HiFi shoppers would indicate that the amplifiers and speakers control an enormous amount in terms of what one hears musically out of a system. And given in this day and age when many of us own multiple HiFi sources (Turntable, CD player and streamer), switching between them and keeping our amplifier and speakers constant, it's more important to get your amplifier and speaker combination right.

And Naim sought to redirect this discourse, marketing the NAIT as a delicate piece in the HiFi system capable of transforming your musical experience. They even went so far as to refuse to publish the output values of the amplifier in an attempt to get people to think about the musical qualities of a unit rather than merely to compare its Watts with another unit. Alas, we still cling to comparing each amplifier by its rated watts which can be a wholly unhelpful exercise - that is an essay for another time!

But I digress, we should be talking about the Nait 5Si! A faithful and timeless amplifier that it is, it delivers a crisp sound that's not full of colouration but will add excitement and a sense of immediacy to the music.

  • Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition

We already love the Naim Uniti Atom as a 2 chanel stereo amplifier come streamer so it's no surprise that a headphone version of that is going to be very popular and attract some rave reviews. An attactive all-in-one box capable of impressing serious Head-Fi enthusiasts.

This unit will happily do the heavy lifting on some of the harder to drive highend Headphones to make them come alive like never before. And there's no need to start a whole new HiFi rack to accomodate a headphone amp, source and cables. One box to sit on a desk, perhaps, and you're good to go.

Naim products bought from us, a genuine approved Naim dealer, include the full 2 year warranty.

  • Naim SUPERNAIT 3

A classic integrated amplifier that takes it cues from its celebrated 30 year heritage. The best Nait amplifier to date.

Naim put the money into their componentry where it counts and where there is auditive sound benefit, not where corporate bosses enforce an obscure cost/benefit analysis. That's why Naim has such a cult following in the HiFi industry. And their reputation is again reinforced with this super amplifier. On sheer tactility and product feel you know thios is going to be a really special amplifier before you even switch it on. Think a good modern Bentley ...

  • Denon AVC-X3800H nine channel cinema amplifier newness ...

The Denon AVC-X3800H is a game changer in the AV market place. The biggest and most exciting change for me with this unit is the capability of having 4 subwoofers!

Not only do they add the extra two sub-outs they've upgraded the processing faculty around the subwoofers. So you can choose to put all four subs in mono, that's pretty standard...but you can also choose to match those subs up with Front Right, Front Left, Rear Right and Rear Left speakers!! EQs and chanel adjustment can be made individually to each pair of speakers and sub to make this a worthwhile exercise.

At the moment the only unit we have that truly capable of pulling off more than 2 subwoofers is the Trinnov Altitude 16 that retails for $25,995! So to have something that gets even remotely close to that in the sub $3K price range is truly spectacular.

There's an optional upgrade with the AVC-X3800H to have the high end Dirac Live room optimisation system installed. A worthwhile upgrade especially if you're going to add two extra Subwoofers.

But all of this really equates to a unit that will live with you for many upgrades to come. I feel that Denon is demonstrating a move to offering upgrade paths, where it can, rather than a churn and burn consumerism.

  • Ruark R410 Radiogram with the lot

The "Aston martin table top radio" has all grown up now that the Ruark R410 is here. This is a lovely piece of kit that smoothly plays all the needed music formats in broadcast and streaming in delightful retro-is-modern form.

Seriously it is surprising how lustrous the finish on this .... radiogram ... is. The real wood veneer feels like expensive designer furniture rather than a mere piece of consumer electronics. And the sound performance makes it a real contender in the market that has hitherto been ruled by the Devialet Phantom and the Naim Muso, you can turn this device up all the way on its tactile knurled metal volume control and it just rocks on.

The streaming reception and connectivity options are exceptional ... the damn thing has optical and HDMI inputs as well as a phono stage ... it seems to be able to play just about everything the old world of analogue and the new world of digital require.
