Rega Nd7 Moving Magnet Cartridge
The Nd7 cartridge is the culmination of 10 years development. It is equipped with Neodymium magnets. The most powerfl magnets available but previously too difficult to utilise within a cartridge. Rega has used some tricks to make this work.
Low mass, yet highly rigid body means the cartridge is free of extra resonances but also won't put stress and weight onto the Tonearm.
Soundwise this cartridge is a big step up from the previous models. A tighter more defined bass, wider sound stage. These carts sound more like the Rega MC range than they do the previous MM range.

Garrott Brothers P77i Cartridge
Garrott Brothers cartridges are one of the iconic HiFi brands for audiophiles dating back to the 1970s. They implemented early on some grounding breaking designs on relatively massed produced products.
And although the founding Garrott brothers John and Brian passed away in the 1990s, their cartridges and designs live on.
The Garrott Brothers cartridges emphasise the choosing of the correct, high quality diamonds to get the most extraction from the record. Cheaper diamonds have blemishes and gouges that will degrade the musical quality. Garrott Brothers diamond and the P77i in particular use Gem quality diamonds and orientate them so the grain of the diamond aligns with the groove of the record.
Also in this model, are built in dampening factors to give a rich musical experience to your listening. As a result of all the above new design features, the Garrott P-77 gives you a beautiful sense of the dynamics of moving coil cartridges, without the typical MC brittle treble and "listening fatique". The P77i proffers the smooth, easy-listening sound for which the best MM cartridges are noted, along with the realistic, clear mid-range for which Decca cartridges are renowned, but without the lack of warmth encountered with that particular design.

Rega ND5, Moving Magnet Cartridge
The outgoing cartridge models by Rega have been around for decades, hell even Lifetimes and they have become industry standards defining good value for money cartridges in the low to mid-fi market.
It must have been a daunting task to reengineer what has already been such a sucessful category for Rega. But they haven't shied away from the challenge!
These new moving magnet cartridges all use Neodymium magnets to generate a signal. This in itself is quite a feat. Neodymiums are the strongest magnets one can buy meaning you can create a really light fast, efficient generator with the magnets. Get it wrong though and the results could be disastrous. THese are the first Moving Magnet Neodymium cartridges that are commercially available.
On top of this, the ND5 has a Nude Elliptical Stylus and an Aluminium cantilever.
The sound is tighter bass and wider soundstage than anything that has come before.
It will be factory fitted on the Planar 3 and Planar 6

Garrott Brothers K3 Supertrack 3
The Garrott brothers are an Australian cartridge manufacturer founded in the 70s by the twin brothers Brian and John Garrott. Although the brothers passed away in the '90s right in the middle of what seemed like the end of cartridge and vinyl manufacture, the vinyl industry and Garrott Brothers have been reborn.
A Melbourne company has taken up making the cartridges from the Garrott's designs and moulds and using the same materials to keep what was a world renowned cartridge manufacturer alive.
Garrott Brothers cartridges have managed to outlive their founders and flourish in this, the time of the rebirth of Vinyl.
The K3 is equiped with a Shibata Diamond. For the Garrott Brothers the emphasis was always on the quality and precision of the diamond and this is no exception. The Garrott Brothers were able to produce brilliant cartridges by paying attention to the details managing to keep costs down whilst clearly outstripping their competitors.
The cartridges are still loved and have an incredibly loyal following in HiFi circles.

Rega ND3, Moving Magnet Cartridge
The Rega moving magnet cartridges have been stalwarts of Carlton Audio Visual for decades...even lifetimes! The Elys the Exact and the Bias have been industry standards for low to mid range cartridges. Big sounding and fun and representing very good value.
That's why we're very interested in the brand new range of Moving Magnets from Rega. The Nd3 is the first of them and will come factory fitted to the Planar 2 and the Planar 3.
As with its brethren, it borrows a lot of its design from the Moving Coil cartridges including its single spine design. Uniquely, however, it also includes a Neodymium magnet generator. One of the strongest magnets available, Neodymium has been used in speakers for a very long time but has proved tricky to be used in cartridges. It means, however, that nt much of the Neodymium is required in order to generate a signal. Therefore the magnets can be lighter and more sensitive.
All in all this is a highly technical cartridge and is going to be another game changer is the low to mid turntable market.
