Quickly becoming Carlton Audio Visual's go-to in-ceiling speaker when the client is after a beefy, big and involving sound that doesn't compromise on detail. These are a clever design that hide completely in the ceiling.

Amina are the original truly invisible speaker. The company that devoloped the very clever Vibrational Panel Technology or VPT which does away with a traditional cone type of speaker design altogether. This was originally an experiment by the British Defence Department to create immersive sound...in the end they didn't find it so useful...but lucky for us, it's extraordinarily useful in the Custom Integration, audiophile space.

Like the wooden panels on an acoustic instrument vibrate microscopically to produce sound, the amina speakers induce a panel to vibrate producing the frequency range of a full range floorstander.

Apart from being very light and being able to hide behind any surface, completely uninhibited, this unique technology actually has the advantage of sounding better in many ways! It's truly non directional. So wherever you stand in the room, it will sound the same. This is not the case with cone drivers and speaker manufacturers will try their hardest with engineering gymnastics (Eg. waveguides) to improve off axis performance but that fact of the matter is a cone driver will always be directional.

The detail and precision of the sound is also extraordinary and that's because of these microscopic movements needed to create the vibrations and the small amount of energy that's required to do that, 1W to produce 90dB @ 1M. That is unheard of with ANY conventional speaker design.

This extreme efficiency also means that the sound is full and dynamic, a true immersive sound.

There are other 'Invisible' speakers out there in the market but none that actually have VPT as it's patented by Amina. This means that they are heavier and create more substantial vibrations which will overtime detrimentally affect the structure of your plaster and your home.

Mobius series panels are designed to be completely plastered overed or covered by wood, leather even high pressure laminate. They are more flexible in their application than the Edge Series of Amina speakers but designed around the same principles.

The Edge series from Amina was developed to sit in drywall constructions and the lip to be plastered over...and then of course covered with your choice of plaster, wallpaper or anything else really!

The ultimate, 3-way controlled performance in-ceiling speaker. If you want definition and uncompromising bass with your in-ceiling speakers than this unit is the one that will do it all.

Added to all of this is the same easy-to-install system that features in all of the creator series speakers. Boundary EQ makes traditionally tricky placement in corners, a non issue as well.

Some really innovative design has created a brilliant sounding speaker.

The 9" version of the three-way in-ceiling speaker from Monitor Audio. More consistency through the frequency sweep with a three-way than the two-ways mean you hear more music.

The larger 9" driver delivers a more room-filling sound.

All of the super features of the C2 range are present here too: Dimpled drivers, Boundary EQ and easy installation mechanisms.

This is a fantastic all-rounder in-ceiling.

This is the 9" version of the Monitor Audio in-ceiling speaker with a back box. The back box controls the resonance of the speaker and gives it protection from any creepy crawlies that may be hiding in your roof. 

However, the Monitor Audio speakers do suffer a little with not as much bass as the open-backed version. On the up side, they give more clarity and definition to the sound than the open-backs.

They come with the same easy-to-install systems as the rest of the creator series as well as their exceptional componentry and sound quality.

The 7" version of the C2 range with the lovely dimpled drivers that are also used in the Monitor Audio silver range. These larger in-ceilings are perfect if you have a larger space or want a bit of a kick as they will really cover volume and produce bass.

They feature the Boundary EQ for versatility of placement as well as the new installation system which is featured on all of the new creator series. A brilliant example of British design.

This is the slightly smaller, medium sized, version of the the in-ceiling Controlled Performance speaker. It has a 7" driver and is equipped with a back box which gives the sound more clarity and definition. You do however lose some bass response in contrast with the open back standard version. 

They are also useful if you think you might have creatures living in your roof....these will give your speakers extra protection.

They come with the same easy-to-install systems as the rest of the creator series as well as their exceptional componentry and sound quality.

The medium speaker in the C2 range is equiped with a 7" dimpled driver giving it more depth than the C2S and more clarity than the C1M. It also has Boundary EQ over the C1M. This is a great option if you're wanting something with refinement in a smaller room or if you are tight on ceiling space. For larger rooms, we would suggest the C2Ls where possible.

British engineering at its best. Simple, clever design makes these a breeze to install saving time and money. And the result is impeccable sound in a speaker that blends into your ceiling.

With two tweeters this handy in-ceiling model is very versatile. It can be an 'FX' surround speaker playing the role of rears in a 5 channel surround system where dispersion in the rears is paramount to directional accuracy.

It is the ideal in-ceiling for smaller spaces like walk-in-robes or bathrooms (where there's not too much condensation) where a single speaker solution that can recreate the true stereo is ideal.

It can also be put into mono, wide dispersion mode perfect for large commercial or large spaces to act as a super performing single mono source.

All the Creator series niceities are here too; Boundary EQ, easy installation and dimpled drivers...like dimpled smiles, we love dimpled drivers! :) 

This is the largest of the C1 in-ceiling speakers. With a 9" driver, it has an engaging room filing sound. The extra bass kick can be useful if your listening is more than just simply background music and you like to turn it up sometimes.

These new Monitor Audio in-ceiling speakers are a big step up from the previous generation. Much of the technology found in the premium speakers has filtered down into this, their basic models. Meaning they have a clear and more consistent sound.

Some clever design makes these speakers a breeze to install. Our installation team are thrilled by how quick and easy they are to install and you will be too when you're labour costs are greatly reduced.

Utilising the same dimpled drivers as present in the Silver Monitor Audio speakers, these in-ceiling have an even tighter bass. These units have a 5" driver but are perfect for refined background music.

Also included in the C2 range is Boundary effect EQ. This dramatically helps if the speakers are placed in trickier positions near the corners.  

Sometimes a speaker needs to be discreet. That shouldn't mean that it can't sound good however. Take the Krix IC-50 all that's visible in your room is a speaker grille and a vanishing thin bezel...

These were previously the Krix Atmospherix AS. Essentially unchanged, Krix have swapped the name out for a more traditional model number.

Slightly more money for the version with a Black grill ($612)

Setting a new direction in their in-ceiling range, Monitor Audio have made some significant changes to their lineup. Better performing speakers with updated technologies that draw from their premium speakers means that there's a much more consistency of performance no matter the environment that these speakers are placed into.

Much easier to install with a new dog-leg mechanism as well as a clip for the speaker cable. This is hard to describe unless I show you a speaker and explain but it means that installation time is considerably less and that means less money spent on labour! 

This unit is the 'medium' of the basic level, equivalent to a Bronze speaker in their in room range. A bigger driver means that it will fill a space with sound more than the little C1S.
