The Pro-Ject E1 BT is a handy version of the E1 with Bluetooth transmitter capable of transmitting the turntable signal to Bluetooth speakers, headphones or amplifers.

Be aware though that in turning your turntable signal into a Bluetooth one, you are makng it digital. The beauty of the analogue signal from start to finish which is what makes Vinyl stand out from other music mediums is lost.

The best way to do vinyl is therefore still with cables. But if Bluetooth is absolutely necessary, this is a good option.

The new E1 Turntable sits above the Primary E in the Pro-Ject range giving some generous upgrades to the Primary E.

A new tonearm is made from Aluminium and is stiffer and more acoustically dampening.

The bearings are the same as in the Debut Carbon and the Deck can be upgraded with an Acrylic platter or even a standard Debut platter.

The belt is placed on the subplatter accidentally having the belt slip off the rotating platter is not an issue.

This turntable has the option for connecting it in a true balanced way to a matched phono stage (Phono Box DS3 B for example). A balanced connection like this serves to dramatically decrease the noise floor of the whole system letting the emotion and the detail shine through. Cleaning records is not just for people with serious cases of OCD, it's done to improve the way your records sound, give longevity to your precious cartridge and stylus and try to eliminate those pops and crackles.

The vacuum method, like this one, is much more time efficient and effective at getting the grime out of the grooves.

Its advantage over the smaller and cheaper VC-E is that it has a much larger cleaning fluid tank, 2.5L as opposed to 0.5L and a much better motor. It's also notably quieter to run and has less plastic bits than the VC-E.

We've been pleasantly surprised by these speakers. A budget speaker that holds their own.

Not the earthshattering goodness of some of our more high-end offerings but if your after a speakers for a good first system or maybe something to set up in a garage, these are the ones.

The improved X1 turntable now comes with the Balanced out and the Ortofon modified cartridge that is similarly balanced out. Pair this with one of Pro-Ject's range of balanced phono stages and a balanced amplifier and you can experience a balanced signal from start ot finish. Although the idea of a balanced signal has been around for a long time and it is undeniably established that it makes for a cleaner, lower distortion system, it is rarely used to this extent and certainly not at this price point. It is rare that the signal path can be completely balanced from start to finish in a HiFi system.

This is a well thought out turntable from well-respected Pro-Ject. They've used classic aspects of their design and bundled the best of them into a great, not-overly-priced, turntable.

This Turntable comes with a light and super stiff Tonearm being made from a carbon fibre/aluminium sandwich, an acoustically dampening acrylic platter and the convenience of speed control at the end of your finger tips on the deck. Doing away with having to lift up the platter to change the speed for those 45rpm records.

This is Pro-Ject's rop of the range amplifier. Still a super cute small form factor but with more power than the MaiA S3. It has a total of 140Watts into 4 Ohms. For such a little amp, that's quite hefty.

Better circuitry design, means a clearer more finessed sound as well.

Dropping the Carbon from the Debut, this Turntable is fitted with a Carbon-Aluminium 'sandwich' tonearm. Although it looks like a straight one piece Aluminium (Rega-esque), it is still utilising some Carbon for extra rigidity within the Tonearm.

Other new things about this unit over previous Pro-Ject models is the new Pick It PRO cartridge. This is a refashioned Ortofon 2M series cartridge with some crucial differences - namely a livlier and more dynamic sound.

All in all a very interesting turntable. Simple yet extremely effective in what it needs to do - make music!

An entry level Puck perfect for the entry level turntables. If you like to play second hand vinyl, you should definitely get one of these. It will help to straighten out an warps that occur with the older vinyl.

Designed to go with the lower end Turntables, this is a nice option as a little upgrade add on...perhaps to fill a Christmas Stocking or a nice Birthday present for someone who loves their vinyl.

Setting your alignment properly is so important for the quality of soudn you'll get from your records and cartridge but also for the life of your cartridge. Undue wear on one side of your cartridge more than another side will drastically reduce the life of your stylus.
