Pro-ject Automat A2 Turntable

The A2 continues the legacy of our fully mechanical automatic turntables. With this model, you can select the drop-off point for 7" (singles) or 12" (LPs) on 45 RPM records. We've also included a 78 RPM feature in the system, letting you explore your old shellac collections. To enjoy your A2, just press start. The tonearm automatically moves to the lead-in groove of the record and once it starts playing, the automatic mechanisms step back completely.

Factory fitted Ortofon 2M Red

2M Red is an all-purpose cartridge that delivers open, dynamic sound with a slight touch of warmth.

New headshell

The headshell is made of carbon fibre reinforced polymer which makes it super stable and rigid, all while keeping the weight at its lowest to work perfectly with the ultra-light-mass tonearm design.

Heavy MDF main chassis

The new heavy MDF main chassis is made and designed in Austria and carefully hand painted in a luxurious 8-layer matt black finish. It provides a very sturdy base for the sub-chassis and reduces hollow spaces to avoid resonances. Such a massive chassis is very unusual in this price range and the base for natural sound.

Floating sub-chassis

Isolating all the most critical turntable elements adds an extra layer of protection against outside noise. A must for automatic turntables.

Damped Platter

The damping ring on the inside adds weight and reduces resonances. In the last step the platter is turned and precision balanced to receive its fine edges and lowest wow and flutter deviations.

Connect it E

To guarantee a perfect connection to your amp we use a high-quality phono RCA cable. Our Connect it E is a semi-balanced, low-capacitance cable, with superior shielding.

33/45/78 RPM

No need to change the belt position. Easily change speed with the push of only a single button & listen to your favourite LP, single or shellac.

The A2 is fully handmade in Germany and looks back on decades of experience. Paired with Pro-Ject technology, it sets new standards in automatic turntable design.

We offer free shipping to metropolitan areas on all orders over $100, except for orders containing the following products:

Televisions, Floorstanding speakers, Subwoofers and Package systems.

Shipping on these items will be standard delivery. If you want expedited shipping, an option should be available at checkout.

We try to dispatch all goods within 48 hours however from time to time the stock in store runs out before we have a chance to update the website. In these cases we will contact you if the item will take longer than 48 hours to be dispatched.

We strongly suggest that items are shipped to a business address, or an address where someone can sign for the delivery. On checkout you have the option of choosing Authoirty to Leave. This will not require a signature, but goods will be left at your premise and the delivery company will take no responsibility for them beyond this point.
