The Rock Hybrid 3T is probably the best value for money interconnect we have in our range of interconnects. The two centre
conductors are made of 12 x 150 micron 3T conductors. They are also individually coated with an extra L.S.C. layer coating. The
three layer shielding combines two layers made of heavy silver coated copper strands, plus one layer made of L. S. C. This is for
the damping of spurious signals.

The Q4 Wall Bracket, made in Bamboo and provide a rigid support for your main source component. 

The Quadraspire HiFi wall brackets consist of a back plate with 2 arms that have holes for locating the adjustable spikes of the Q4 or SVT shelf and allows for precision levelling of the shelf. The Bamboo wall support, which is available in black or silver, can hold a component up to 40 kilos.

There are some optional upgrades with these shelves for increased isolation. Including the Q4 Bronze upgrade for an extra $300 and the super plush SVT Bronze upgrade for an an $650.

The stainless steel SM7 Silent Mounts are designed to be used with both floor standing and stand mount loudspeakers. Slightly larger than the SM5s (70mm diameter) and heavier, the silent mount will deal with the considerable energy that loud speakers are capable of generating. We use the SM7s with all the speakers in our dem room – and in every case the Silent Mount SM7s improve definition and sound staging, bass instruments in particular gain a greater sense of pitch and timbre, but in truth these improvements are very noticeable throughout the frequency range of the speaker. 4 x 50mm titanium spike mounts for lightweight racks and components. Hand crafted in Japan

These are the same size as the standard steel SM5 isolation devices but they are built from titanium.  Can the change of materials make a difference?  Absolutely: the titanium Silent Mount SM5s are identical in size to the stainless steel SM5s but are considerable lighter. The reduced weight improves energy transfer and this is why the titanium version produces a better performance.  Timing, dynamics and coherence are all improved and the image is more solid with instruments and voices well defined and accurately placed within the soundstage.

The titanium SM5s are designed to be used with any high performance rack or table.

We use them underneath an Audiophile Star Base rack in our demonstration room and we have also used them with turntable supports, where the improvements to sound quality are particularly striking. Like many upgrades it very easy to quickly get used to the big improvements that the titanium SM5s make.  Taking them out of the system is genuinely surprising and leaves you in no doubt as to how much of a contribution they are making.

All Silent Mounts are supplied with a set of self adhesive thin felt pads. If the rack is sited on anything other than a carpeted floor, the felt pads should be fitted to the base of each Silent Mount. The felt pad has been specifically chosen to minimise any vibration between the Silent Mount and the floor and will ensure that you get the best performance. If the silent Mount is being used on a carpeted floor the Felt pads should not be fitted.

Each Silent Mount SMF5 titanium isolation mount will support up to 50 Kilos in weight.

Nordosts foray into their Micro Mono Filament technology. Basically, they have these wonderful patented machines which are able to manufacture cabling wrapped in Air. Air being one of the best dielectrics for transparency, ask NASA about this. Unfortunately in order to do this the machines take hours per metre hence the high price tag. The Heimdall 2 cables are the most popular cables in the Nordost range here at Carlton Audio Visual and for good reason - this is where they start to get REALLY good.

At the Heimdall 2 level, Nordost employs their Dual Micro Filament design doing away with the Mono Micro Filament design of the Leif range. Dual refers to the two bits of FEP insulation that are wrapped around the silver plated, copper conductors in a double helix type configuration. It's this special structure and twist of the design, that means one of the most effective insulators of all is used ingeniously - air. Using identical conductors for signal and return is a very easy was of improving the performance of an audio cable – something we’ve been doing for many years. With many XLR cables, the two signal wires end up being used to carry the hot (in phase) and the cold (out of phase) signals, while the earth/return connection is made with the shield.

The Optimum is the fourth of IsoTek’s high-performance power cables to be upgraded to the new advanced EVO3 (Evolution 3) version, and is clearly positioned at the top of the range. The new EVO3 Optimum delivers radical advances over its predecessor, the earlier GII version. At the Optimum’s core are three silver plated copper conductors made from Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper.
