Bryston 4BSST2 Stereo Power Amplifier $6999.00
|
Who would have thought as they reclined deep into the soft leather chairs of one of our theatre rooms and prepared to make obesiance to the mighty Morel Fat Lady loudspeakers that these incredible $40,000 pieces of carbon fibre are actually being driven by one of the most cost conscious high power but with exacting fidelity amplifier separates made ... we have the driving components hidden so the listener is not aware that the source is a fiscally humble NAD pre power and Cd Player stack. |

I like a bit of power.
At 70 watts per side in stereo mode, the Cyrus X power will add considerable control to your system. In particular, you'll hear much more definition and drive in the lower frequencies. It's really nice when a bass note smacks you in the guts and then stops with finesse. Hmmm power... |

Cyrus's new Mono X range (the X200 and the X300) show that powerful amps can come in small packages. With the X200 pushing 150 watts into 8ohms, increasing to 240watts into 4 ohms and the X300 delivering 235W into 8 Ohms and 365W into 4 Ohms, there's enough power for all but the most demanding applications. And Cyrus still managed to squeeze this power into their trademark magnesium alloy shoe boxes! |

One of several points of difference beetween ourselves and other businesses with an online presence is that we actually have the kit we advertise on display for potential customers to trial. It is said that the biggest consumers of high end audio around the world are actually the Hi Fi shops that are meant to be purveying the kit and we are apparently a case in point.
Our latest piece of stock capital acquisition is the Bryston 14B power amplifier. 600 RMS per channel with a superbly low noise floor that yields an inky black silence between notes for hauntingly realistic reproduction. As a dual mono modular design, it has the power to drive, with breath-taking ease and clarity, speakers which have been considered "impossible" loads in the past. We have this often wired up to a pair of PMC MB2i's and one would really recommend that you come and have a go if you want to upwardly revise your impressions of how good music can sound ...

Now on demonstration at Carlton Audio Visual. You may like to try these through speakers such as Ambience Ribbons, Sonus faber Homage series, Morel Fat Ladies, or Quadral Titans.
When an irresistible force meets an immovable object something has to give ... and when you hook up a pair of AR 250 monoblocks to any speaker in Christendom and beyond, the very fabric of space is warped to bring the music into place in stage front of your listening room. |

These two components are about to land for a while at Carlton Audio Visual. They are something rather special ... the AMS50 is one of those very few power amps that have been made that offers pure Class A amplification into all impedance loads with absolute stability. |
